Program

Arrival in Bastia on Oct 11 and transfer to hotel in Bastia where we'll be staying 3 nights. On the following day we'll discover this lively port town made up of two distinct neighborhoods: Terra Vecchia, surrounding the original harbour and Terra Nova, the high-walled citadel above. In the two remaining days left at Bastia we'll visit the peninsula of Cap Corse with its rolling green hills, pretty little ports, beautiful beaches and perched villages atop rocky cliffs and explore the nearby valleys around Corte blessed with a stunning natural setting.

After Bastia we will transfer to the fashionable resort town of Porto-Vecchio where we'll be staying 3 to 4 nights. En route we will visit the archaelogical site of Cucuruzzu, a Bronze Age hillfort located within a beautiful forest. We will reach our new hotel in time to enjoy a stroll through the old town's picturesque backstreets. During our stay in Porto-Vecchio we will be visiting the soaring Aiguilles de Bavella, 1600-meter high, red granite spikes; Filitosa, Corsica's most important prehistoric site preserving extraordinary 6000-year-old granite menhirs; and the idyllic Palombaggia beach considered the island's prettiest.

After our stay in Porto-Vecchio we will transfer to our new hotel in Ajaccio and visit the ancient town of Bonifacio set on white limestone cliffs. Handsome Ajaccio, Napoleon's birthplace, will be the last town we'll be staying in during our Corsica tour. While in Ajaccio we will go on a boat tour to visit the Unesco World Heritage Site, the Réserve Naturelle de Scandola.

The day before departure we will transfer to a hotel close to the Bastia airport.
